Transformers Devastation Review

Transformers Devastation is the first game in a long time to feature the Generation 1 era of Transformers, and it does not disappoint. The game has very nice looking cel-shaded graphics, and hack and slash gameplay that developer PlatinumGames is no stranger to. Devastation features five playable Autobots, those being Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack, and Grimlock, all with different weapons and abilities available. The boss fights in the game are all familiar Decepticons, such as Soundwave, Starscream, Blitzwing, and Devastator. The soundtrack is great as well, with the boss battle themes in particular standing out. The only negatives of the game are that the main story is pretty short, and the ending with Nova Prime waking up teases a sequel that will likely never come.
