Super Mario RPG on the Nintendo Switch is the ideal remake, staying perfectly faithful to the SNES original while also adding new features. There are some new additions to the battle mechanics, primarily involving action commands. Perfect action commands do extra damage, and can build up a gauge that allows the party to do a "triple move" that varies depending on which party members you are using, with really nice animated cutscenes for each one. The game has very good graphics, with an art style that feels very much like a modernization of the original game. I appreciate the attention to detail in recreating the original game's world, as opposed to genericizing things like the 3DS Mario & Luigi remakes. The remastered soundtrack is also incredible, with fully orchestrated renditions of all of the original game's great tracks. My favorites are easily Fight Against a Somewhat Stronger Monster and Nimbus Land.
